Andrew Lemalu, B.A. B.Com LLB
Principal
Andrew was born and bred in Dunedin, Otago and completed the majority of his tertiary studies at the University of Otago. Upon leaving Otago University Andrew joined the New Zealand Police Department, spending 5 years in various policing roles. The experience Andrew gained in his brief Police career was invaluable and has certainly assisted him in his ability to relate to his clients and deal with their matters. Andrew left the Police in 1989 to work as a lawyer in the commercial property team at a large inner-city law firm in Auckland. After gaining extensive experience in all areas of the law, Andrew commenced sole practice in Ellerslie in 1995. Andrew is a keen sportsman and holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate. He enjoys keeping fit, dabbling in pilates classes and is a very keen golfer. He supports both the Warriors and the All Blacks having played rugby and touch rugby for many years himself.
Nicola Fiebiger, LLB
SENIOR Solicitor
Nicola was admitted to the bar in 2013 having first qualified as a Legal Executive in 2000. Her friendly nature and eye for detail has meant that Nicola’s key focus is now on managing the firms family trust clients and attending to gifting, wills and estates. Nicola also works in the commercial property and leasing areas as well as residential conveyancing.
Nicola has a young family and currently works part-time. Outside of work she enjoys travelling, cooking and being involved in all her children’s activities.
Kirstin Walters
REGISTERED SENIOR LEGAL EXECUTIVE - NZILE
Kirstin completed her Legal Executive certificate in 1998 and is an Affiliate Member of the NZ Institute of Legal Executives. Kirstin’s high standards and attention to detail has been invaluable in the development and implementation of many of our office procedures. Kirstin specialises in a wide variety of legal work including conveyancing, subdivisions and commercial work. She has a thorough knowledge of the firms trust accounting requirements and is responsible for the management of the firms trust account.
Devereux Lemalu, LLB
Solicitor
Dev is a Solicitor with Andrew Lemalu Law and works closely with Principal, Andrew and the wider team.
Dev completed his legal studies at the University of Auckland in 2015 and also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science. Dev has always been interested in becoming a lawyer and is now following in his uncle’s footsteps.
His quiet nature and professional manner have his clients feeling instantly at ease. Dev works in the busy property conveyancing area as well as handling estate matters and preparing powers of attorney and wills. Dev loves problem-solving and enjoys being able to provide practical legal advice to clients in plain English. Dev says he prides himself on “doing an excellent job and listening to clients’ needs and providing the right solution.”
Dev is married with a young family and when not at work he enjoys playing golf, eating out, spending time keeping fit and has always been a keen follower of motorsport and the NBA.
Pam Bellingham
Registered SENIOR LEGAL Executive - NZILE
Pam commenced employment with us in 2017 as a Registered Legal Executive. She completed her Legal Executive Certificate in 2008 and has been working in the legal profession for a considerable time. Pam works predominantly in the area of residential conveyancing including refinancing, subdivisions and all related matters.
Pam provides excellent client care and is very friendly and professional.
Pam works 5 days with reduced hours to enable her to achieve the work/life balance with her young family,
Christine Lemalu
Office manager
Christine has been assisting behind the scenes since the opening of Andrew Lemalu Law in 1995. As the firm continued to expand, the role of a permanent Office Manager was created. Christine has a strong background in office management and administration. She enjoys working with our team to ensure everything is running smoothly and efficiently.
Christine is an avid Warriors supporter and loves keeping fit.
Sue Kershaw
Legal Assistant
Sue is your first point of contact at Andrew Lemalu Law. She has been with our firm for over 25 years. Her friendly manner and many years of experience enables her to assist our many clients, whether it be on the phone or in person. Sue’s conscientious nature, high standards and attention to detail shows through in her ability to attend to the day to day running of the office. Sue assists in the preparation of all legal documentation and her input is highly valued by our team.
Outside of work Sue enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. She regularly escapes to her bach for relaxing weekends boating with her family and she loves trying her hand at a spot of fishing.
Jules Pusinelli
registered LEGAL EXECUTIVE - NZILE
Jules started with Andrew Lemalu Law in March 2021 and is a valuable member of our team. Jules is always highly professional and she has a wonderful cheerful personality that clients love. She obtained her Legal Executive certification in 2008. She closely assists our Senior Solicitor Nicola Fiebiger with the creation, administration and winding up of family trusts. Her methodical and thorough work ethic also expands into the conveyancing field.
She is a big pet lover and as a local, she loves to get involved in the many community events that Ellerslie has to offer.
